The Mitten Videoconference 2016
We are again offering the Mitten Videoconferencing Project coordinated by Amy Spath at the Central New York Regional Information Center. The project is for classes in Pre K - third grade and the students will practice reading, writing, and research skills as well as following directions and speaking with others during this interactive project. The dates for the classroom videoconference connections are February 12th-14th.
Two classrooms will be paired up for each session. Before the videoconference session, each class will read the story The Mitten by Jan Brett. The classes will then used the mitten cut-outs and animals suggested on the wiki (https://sites.google.com/view/cnyric-ivc-collaborations/the-mitten) to create a mitten with animals. Each class will learn about each animal in the story and wrote clues about each animal. The classes then will connect via a videoconference to have the class guess what animal the other class had hidden in their mitten by the clues given.
We can't wait to see who will be participating this year!
Keep looking for upcoming collaborations that your class might be interested in!
